Below you will find the 2015 Schedule of Collection Event's flier. As in the past the seasonal household hazardous waste collection facility will open on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 10 am to 6 pm we will close for the season on Wednesday, October 28, 2015. The fee for television sets is as follows; anything up to 27" is $5 and anything over 27" is $10 and residents can bring in computer monitors for $5. The fee does not apply to flat screen televisions or computer monitors. It is only for the older model CRT televisions and monitors with the glass picture tubes. I have not received the hard copies of the event flier from the printer yet but expect them before the end of the month. I will "snail" mail your community several copies of this flier. We will be inserting the event schedule in several newspapers throughout each county the insertion dates are staggered throughout the month of March.
As you can see we also offer one-day collection event programs for appliances and document destruction (shredding service) all Trumbull County one-day events are held at the seasonal household hazardous waste facility and all one-day Geauga County collection events are held at the Geauga County Engineer's yard, 12665 Merritt Road (a one-day hazardous waste event is scheduled for October 3, 2015 from 9 am to 12 Noon).
The DEA and the Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP) offers "Operation Empty Medicine Cabinet" it is held here in conjunction with our seasonal household hazardous waste collection facility. Geauga County residents can take their unwanted/expired medication year round to the Geauga County Sheriff's office, 12450 Merritt Road (440) 635-1234 they have a medication drop box or they can bring here on the specified dates May 12, 2015 & September 23, 2015.
Our webmaster is in the process of updating our website now that we have our dates set in stone. If you have a community website and want to set our website www.startrecycling.com up as a link that is fine or you can also scan and post the event flier on your website whatever is easiest. Thank you and if you have any questions feel free to email back or give us a call. Thanks
